Account Executive

Candidates should be self-motivated and experienced solution sellers with a strong understanding of selling platform technologies, possessing business judgment and sales acumen to vet opportunities and close deals, and eager to learn about embedded finance. They should also be able to understand Marqeta’s technology and communicate its benefits effectively to various stakeholders.
The Account Executive will cultivate and manage relationships with executives and entrepreneurs, work closely with internal stakeholders in Product, Legal, Compliance, and Delivery to define solutions, originate new customer opportunities, respond to inbound opportunities, and shepherd deals from opening through to contract and closing stage. They will also lead in closing and launching strategic customers, qualify leads and prioritize customer opportunities, and manage the sales process, including SFDC, modeling, and internal approvals.
