Candidates must possess extensive experience in contracting and/or managing relationships with Integrated Delivery Systems, several years of experience in a managed care environment leading a network development/provider relations function, and proven experience leading contracting for Medicare products. A comprehensive knowledge of health plan finance and provider compensation arrangements, including plan funding and risk management, is required, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Health Care Administration, or a related field, with an MBA and/or JD degree preferred.
The VP, National Provider Network Management will strategically partner with all segments of Humana’s Insurance Business, accountable for developing and maintaining strategic network relationships with large national providers, ensuring adequate coverage of healthcare services, aligning strategy and priorities, establishing enterprise-wide contracting standards, collaborating across departments to implement those practices, leading enterprise change efforts regarding contract standardization, ensuring access to care for members, developing and leading trend initiatives with key providers, providing executive leadership of Provider Performance and Analytics functions, maintaining commercial parity pricing, managing across a highly matrixed organization, and leading change efforts within the team and providing leadership to a team of executives and their staff.
