Requirements

Candidates are required to possess 10+ years of experience in investments or an investment-related field, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel VBA, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, is necessary, as is experience with Bloomberg API, Power BI, Power Query, VBA, and Python. Strong familiarity with a broad range of asset types including investment-grade credit, structured finance, mortgage loans, and other private assets is also required, alongside the ability to analyze cash flows, liquidity profiles, credit risk, tax treatment, capital treatment, and GAAP and STAT accounting treatments. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to manage competing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment, are essential.

Responsibilities

The Director of Investment and Product Solutions (IPS) will shape and support the development of investment and hedging strategies, aligning with ALM, capital, risk, accounting, tax, and reinsurance considerations. They will develop and support investment assumptions for product pricing in collaboration with product teams, build analytical models to evaluate and advance capital efficiency, and support ongoing investment performance monitoring. The role involves partnering across teams to evaluate new and existing investment strategies across public and private markets, collaborating with Portfolio Strategy, Public & Private Market PMs, Enterprise ALM, Finance, Risk, Actuarial, and Investment Operations, championing and communicating the investment strategy to internal and external stakeholders, and developing governance frameworks to support investment surveillance and best practices. Finally, the Director will contribute to building a high-performing investment team by mentoring staff and advancing best ideas.
