Position Overview

Join Vetcove, a growing Y Combinator and venture-backed company, and play a pivotal role in transforming how veterinarians acquire essential supplies. Vetcove's innovative eCommerce and mobile platforms empower veterinary practices to compare and purchase from all their vendors in a single, streamlined location. We are on a mission to modernize the $50B+ animal health industry, enabling veterinary organizations to dedicate more time to patient care and less to administrative tasks.

We are seeking an exceptionally talented and passionate Head of Talent to build and scale our vibrant team. As a key member of Vetcove, you will own the end-to-end recruiting strategy and pipeline, from candidate discovery and evaluation to closing and integration. You will collaborate closely with the co-founders and hiring managers to optimize recruiting flows and implement best practices across the company.

Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve the full-cycle talent acquisition strategy across all departments.
  • Lead, coach, and grow a small team of recruiters and coordinators.
  • Partner closely with executives and hiring managers to understand needs and design smart, efficient hiring plans.
  • Build and maintain a high-performance recruiting engine with clear metrics, pipelines, and tracking.
  • Drive employer branding initiatives to elevate our talent brand.
  • Implement effective sourcing strategies for hard-to-fill roles.
  • Own and continuously optimize recruiting systems and tools (e.g., ATS).

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in talent acquisition.
  • 2+ years in a leadership or management role.
  • Proven success in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience building and scaling recruiting processes from the ground up.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong knowledge of ATS systems and recruiting tools.
  • Highly analytical with a bias toward action and iteration.
  • Comfortable wearing multiple hats and operating with ambiguity.
