Company Overview

TomaToma is the automotive industry’s leading agentic AI workforce, specializing in voice AI agents for sales and service call operations. Our proprietary voice AI product, built entirely in-house with cutting-edge large language models (LLMs), reaches millions of vehicle owners monthly. As a prominent startup in the automotive space, we have secured Series A funding from Andreessen Horowitz and Y Combinator and are experiencing rapid customer base expansion.

Our team comprises former founders, athletes, and leaders from industry giants such as Scale AI, Uber, Braze, Microsoft, and Amazon, as well as acquired companies in the automotive sector. We are driven by a passion for winning and maintain a lean, customer-oriented approach. Our headquarters are located in a new two-story office in Potrero Hill, San Francisco, though our team operates in a hybrid model. We prioritize customer engagement, frequently traveling to meet and learn from our clients, which has led to significant word-of-mouth referrals. With our unique advantage and strong momentum in the $2 trillion automotive market, we are positioned for substantial growth.

About this Role

We are seeking a VP of OEM Relations to expand our market presence by embedding Toma within OEM-approved vendor programs and co-op catalogs. In this pivotal role, you will be the primary representative of Toma to automakers, responsible for steering strategy, obtaining co-op approval, and transforming national programs into a repeatable growth engine. You will report directly to the CEO and will build a high-impact team as traction scales.

Toma's leadership in automotive AI stems from our development of highly customizable voice AI and agents designed to address diverse customer use cases.

Responsibilities

  • Drive OEM Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive 3-year roadmap targeting high-impact OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers. Secure program inclusion, co-op funding, and preferred-vendor status.
  • Lead Partner Engagements: Serve as the executive point of contact for OEM relationships, guiding initiatives from pilot phases to national launches. Translate partner needs into actionable product, data, and reporting deliverables.
  • Own Revenue Growth: Manage the OEM-sourced pipeline, forecasting, and P&L. Design commercial models that align incentives and accelerate dealer adoption.
  • Champion Cross-Functional Execution: Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to localize voice AI solutions and co-develop tailored launch assets for each OEM ecosystem.
  • Evangelize Industry Leadership: Represent Toma at major automotive industry events and OEM forums. Deliver thought leadership on voice AI and fixed-ops innovation.
  • Build and Lead a High-Impact Team: Recruit, mentor, and scale a top-tier OEM partnerships team, fostering a culture of data-driven execution and dealer-first thinking.

Required Qualifications

  • Industry Experience: Minimum of 10 years within the automotive ecosystem, with a focus on OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, or dealership technology platforms.
  • OEM Program Ownership: At least 5 years of experience managing OEM programs, co-op funding structures, or certified vendor relationships.
  • Track Record of Success: Demonstrated ability to launch or scale technology or fixed-ops solutions through OEM, Shift Digital, or Tier-10 channels, consistently exceeding revenue and adoption targets.
  • Commercial Acumen: Proven experience negotiating complex, multi-year commercial agreements, including those involving data security, compliance, and incentive models.
  • Technical Fluency: Strong ability to articulate AI, telephony, and integration capabilities in OEM-compliant language. Capable of navigating technical discussions with both engineering and partner teams.
  • Leadership: Proven experience building and leading cross-functional teams, possessing executive presence to engage effectively with both C-level executives and field-level stakeholders.
  • Analytical Rigor: Proficient in CRM and BI tools for pipeline management and forecasting.
