Requirements

The position requires outstanding relationship management, interpersonal, and oral/written communication skills. The candidate must have a history of successfully developing or expanding relationships with search consultants and/or brokers. A strong work ethic and the ability to work effectively, independently, and as part of a team are critical. Strong Benefits Administration experience and knowledge of the broker/consultant sales ecosystem are necessary. A Bachelor's degree is preferred, and a CFA and/or MBA are a plus.

Responsibilities

The Director of Consultant Relations is responsible for deepening and expanding relationships with the network of benefits brokers, consultants, and third-party evaluators across the U.S. This role supports new business growth by cultivating partnerships with top-tier search consultant firms and developing relationships with mid and lower-tier firms. The director will partner closely with bswift Executive Leadership and Client Services teams to bring business and client updates to the consultant community, lead a consistent communication strategy with search consultants, and coordinate regular business update meetings. They will act as the first point of contact in the RFP process, manage annual consultant database updates, and participate in industry conferences and events to promote the firm and build relationships. Additionally, the director will monitor market shifts and provide feedback to Product, Sales, and Marketing teams.
