Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in business management or a related field, along with 5-10 years of multi-unit management experience in a fast-paced retail environment. A valid driver's license is required, and ASE certification is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Hyperion, and other computer-based tools is necessary, as is the ability to work with mathematical concepts for budgeting and P&L management. Strong presentation and communication skills, including the ability to write reports and manuals, are essential. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.
The VP, Field Operations will be responsible for overseeing the operations of 150-200 Advance Auto Parts stores within a region, focusing on inspiring teams, customer success, and business growth with integrity. Key duties include partnering with HR, store management, and support teams to execute company strategies, improve operational procedures, and share best practices. This role involves developing annual plans for sales growth, budgets, forecasts, and new store openings, while maintaining high standards of customer service and coaching district leaders. Building high-performing teams through training, development, talent acquisition, and low turnover is critical. The VP will spend 50-60% of their time visiting districts and stores to ensure initiative execution, store conditions, and customer service expectations are met, and will also evaluate competitor practices. Strategic thinking, change management, delegation, and supervision of multiple projects are also key responsibilities.
