Candidates must have over 15 years of experience in enterprise IT, data engineering, cybersecurity, or infrastructure leadership, with at least 3 years specifically leading AI/ML infrastructure at scale. Proven experience with cloud-native AI platforms like AWS SageMaker, Azure ML, or GCP Vertex AI, as well as on-prem GPU/accelerator infrastructure, is required. A strong background in enterprise-grade networking, storage, and cybersecurity controls is essential, along with a deep understanding of MLOps/MLSecOps practices, including CI/CD for ML, containerization, and monitoring frameworks. Familiarity with Zero Trust Architecture, NIST 800-53a rev5, ISO 27001, ITIL, and SOC2 frameworks is necessary. Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills with executive presence are also required, along with experience in Financial Services, Defense, or other highly regulated industries.

Responsibilities

The VP of AI Infrastructure will be responsible for designing, building, and operating the enterprise-grade AI/ML infrastructure that supports the company's products, services, and internal operations. This includes defining and executing the enterprise AI infrastructure strategy, driving the adoption of AI/ML engineering rigor, and serving as a senior thought leader on AI infrastructure. Key duties involve building and scaling foundational AI/ML platforms, developing secure and compliant AI infrastructure aligned with industry frameworks, and partnering with Network Engineering and Cybersecurity to ensure AI workloads are hardened, monitored, and protected. The role also includes overseeing AI observability and monitoring, championing automation and MLSecOps principles, establishing AI infrastructure policies and standards, and collaborating with Cyber GRC and Risk teams. Additionally, the VP will manage vendor relationships and build and lead a cross-disciplinary AI Infrastructure team, driving a culture of engineering excellence and mentoring talent.
