Requirements

Candidates must possess a BS/BTech or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with over 10 years of production-level experience as an engineer and technical lead in building scalable and reliable software. A minimum of 5 years of managerial experience leading technical engineering teams, specifically in AI and platform engineering, is required. Preferred qualifications include experience in attracting, hiring, and coaching engineers, managing performance, taking ownership of technology decisions, communicating effectively with diverse audiences, building platform engineering teams for MLOps or LLM Ops, leading big data engineering teams, and experience with cloud technologies like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Familiarity with server-side web technologies, particularly Python, is also preferred.

Responsibilities

The Senior Engineering Manager will lead a team of individual contributors in developing an AI platform and enabling AI across the company, focusing on projects with increasing dependencies and ambiguity. Key responsibilities include building a high-performing team through hiring and nurturing talent, providing strong technical leadership to drive solutioning and roadmap development, setting clear goals, removing roadblocks for the team, and collaborating seamlessly with stakeholders to achieve business outcomes. The manager will also work closely with engineering leaders to enhance engineering excellence in processes and systems, mentor and inspire teams, and translate business objectives into technological roadmaps.
