Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 years’ experience across VMware core technologies at a senior support level, with advanced knowledge of ESXi and vCenter Server as a baseline, and experience across one or more VMware subject matter areas such as Compute, Infrastructure, Networking, or Automation (vRealize Suite). Strong skills in Storage, particularly SRM, are required, along with knowledge of scripting languages like Python or PowerShell and VMware & industry certified qualifications like VCAP-DCV or CCNA.
The VMware L3 Support Engineer will troubleshoot customer issues remotely, collaborating with a global team in a 24x7 follow-the-sun support model to resolve urgent customer issues and ensure customer satisfaction by tracking issues from start to closure and minimizing aging cases. They will also provide root cause analysis for technical issues, assist with creating and maintaining knowledge articles, promote best practices and new methodologies, and work with other internal stakeholders to enhance the overall customer experience.
