Job Summary
We are currently looking for a perceptive and proactive Virtual Data & Communications Coordinator with experience in the U.S. healthcare industry. This fully remote role requires working Sunday to Thursday, 9am – 6pm EST. This is an exciting role designed for someone who is eager to contribute across multiple areas by providing critical data accuracy and communication support aligned with U.S. healthcare standards and workflows.
Working Hours and Environment
- Working Hours: Sunday to Thursday, 9am – 6pm EST (this currently equates to 15:00pm to midnight South African time, subject to change according to daylight savings with the US.)
- Work Environment: This is a fully remote role based in South Africa.
Requirements
- Internet: A fixed fibre line with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps (upload & download) and support for a wired Ethernet connection is mandatory.
- Power Backup: A reliable power backup solution is required to manage load shedding and power outages. Applicants without a power backup cannot be considered.
Responsibilities
- Data Entry: Perform daily checks of customers’ EHR systems to verify that the database contains accurate information, manually extracting and uploading missing data as needed.
- Quality Control: Ensure data accuracy and compliance with established requirements and workflows, performing data cleaning where necessary.
- Core Workflow: Manage and support the daily communications process, including overseeing the sending and responding to messages on a regular schedule using the internal system. Assist in monitoring messaging quality and ensure timely follow-up with contacts, collaborating with AI tools as they are implemented.
- Data Processing: Oversee data extraction and processing of information primarily handled by AI, maintaining responsibility for all aspects of quality control.
Qualifications
- Experience: 6 months to 1 year experience in the U.S. healthcare industry (experience with EHR systems or healthcare admin preferred).
- Communication: Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to conduct sensitive and nuanced conversations professionally.
- Skills: Highly detail-oriented, organized, and proactive with strong problem-solving skills.
- Computer Literacy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook and Word; no advanced Excel required).
- Work Ethic: Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment.
- Technical Familiarity: Familiarity with navigating databases and digital communication tools.
- Infrastructure: Reliable internet and power backup solution as outlined above.
