Requirements

A Bachelor's degree, preferably in Biology or a related life sciences field, is required, with an MBA or graduate degree in life sciences being preferred. Candidates must have over 10 years of management experience in Customer Service, Sales Operations, or related functions, ideally within the Biotechnology or Life Sciences industry. Demonstrated experience with Lean/DBS concepts and building scalable, global processes is essential, as is a proven ability to lead large, high-performing teams and drive cross-functional collaboration. The role requires the ability to travel 25% of the time, including overnight stays within territories or locations. Previous experience in the Genomics industry and with Danaher Business System (DBS) tools and methodologies is considered a plus.

Responsibilities

The Vice President, Global Commercial Excellence will lead the development and execution of a global customer service strategy focused on consistency, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction across North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. This role involves aligning cross-functional teams, including Customer Care, Sales Operations, Scientific Applications Support, and Service Operations, to ensure seamless customer experiences. Key responsibilities include driving global commercial operations such as forecasting, sales analytics, incentive compensation, sales training, and commercial data management. The position requires championing a customer-centric culture, embedding continuous improvement and Lean/DBS methodologies, and building a high-performing, globally cohesive customer service and commercial operations team. Additionally, the role involves implementing globally standardized processes and advanced analytics for performance monitoring and strategic decision-making, and representing the voice of the customer in corporate strategic planning to influence global initiatives for enhanced service quality and commercial effectiveness.
