Requirements

  • Field-based experience supporting Abbott’s Vascular division or similar healthcare sales role
  • Ability to lead and manage a team of Account Managers and Clinical Specialists
  • Expertise in driving profitable growth across vessel closure portfolio (small and large bore arterial, venous, and future products)
  • Focus on targeting Electrophysiologists, Vascular Surgeons, Interventional Cardiologists, and Interventional Radiologists
  • Skills in formulating sales strategies to meet revenue goals in assigned Northeast region
  • Experience negotiating contracts with hospital customers
  • Proficiency in hiring, coaching, developing, and performance managing direct reports
  • Knowledge of customer relationship management (Targeting, Onboarding, Contracting, Clinical Support, Pricing Management, KOL Management, Conflict Resolution)
  • Capability in planning, forecasting, expense management, reporting, sales process adherence, and interacting with Sales Analytics
  • Adherence to company sales management and reporting systems

Responsibilities

  • Ensure assigned region meets or exceeds sales and profitability objectives
  • Formulate sales strategies for markets within the assigned geography to attain revenue goals
  • Work with Account Managers to identify and evaluate market opportunities and sales potential
  • Lead, manage, and coach a team of Account Managers and Clinical Specialists
  • Negotiate contracts with hospital customers and manage implementation of company policies
  • Drive strong sales execution to achieve sales targets for the complete Vessel Closure portfolio
  • Increase market share within the assigned region across the full product portfolio and influence hospital stakeholders
  • Drive contracting efforts to gain favorable positions in regional accounts
  • Develop commercial sales strategy in alignment with marketing strategy for best-in-class execution
  • Hire, coach, develop, and performance manage direct reports while setting team standards
  • Ensure team manages customer relationships comprehensively
  • Handle planning, forecasting, expense management, reporting, and sales process adherence
  • Measure and report feedback on sales strategies and marketing program effectiveness
