  • Salary: $75,000 - $100,000 annually (dependent on experience, geographical location, commission structure, additional benefits such as car allowance and cost of living adjustments. Variable compensation may be available.)

The Edge Territory Manager works on behalf of the distributor to bring brand awareness and product education to Distributors in order to provide pull-through sales for dealers. The Territory Manager works alongside distributor Account Managers to ensure all opportunities for education and product specifications are captured. This role supports a growing geographical location, starting with PA and OH.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for increasing sales volume and profitability.
  • Work closely with current and future distributors to build sales, grow brand awareness, and educate the market on our EDGE products.
  • Aggressively seek new customers with a pull-through strategy utilizing touch points in the marketplace.
  • Build relations with active builders and specifiers impacting the market.
  • Implement planned sales and marketing strategies.
  • Be an EDGE product and technical expert on all aspects of the product line.
  • Ensure distributors and retailers in the marketplace are educated and taking advantage of all promotions and leads generated by the EDGE team.

Requirements

  • Education: Preferred bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related area.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in building material sales, candidate must have strong dealer relationships (lumber yards).
  • Technical Skills:
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Outlook and other software for business applications.
    • Understanding of pre-finished wood products, primer, paint and stain application/techniques.
  • Language Proficiency: Proficiency in the use of the English language in reading, writing, and speaking.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to successfully interact with all organizational levels and the public.
  • Organizational Skills: Demonstrated proficiency to manage multiple tasks, to set priorities, and to meet deadlines.
  • Communication Skills: Demonstrate proficiency in general telephone and office etiquette and legible handwriting.
  • Instruction Following: Ability to comprehend and follow written and oral instructions.
  • Mobility: Demonstrated ability to be mobile in the work environment.
  • Relationship Building: Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply business and lumber math.
  • Travel: Travel required.

Reporting Structure

  • Report to the Channel Manager.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Pay Range: $75,000 - $100,000 annually dependent on experience, geographical location, commission structure, additional benefits such as car allowance and cost of living adjustments.
