Undergraduate degree (BS/BA) required; advanced degree in animal science, MBA, or equivalent is a plus
Minimum of 6 months cattle-related experience (Associate Territory Business Manager); 3 years (Territory Business Manager); 8 years (Senior Territory Business Manager)
Animal health experience and knowledge of dairy industry preferred
In-depth product and disease knowledge
Experience with Dairy Comp and PC Dart is a plus
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
Ability to speak English and Spanish is a plus
Valid driver’s license
Willingness to drive to customer locations across defined geography (producer, clinic, and dealer facilities)
Ability to work on dairy operations and with cows (husbandry to treatment administration and product education)
Ability and willingness to travel overnight, including some weekends (~40%)
Responsibilities
Calling on dairy producers, veterinarians, dealers, and distributor representatives; quantifying and qualifying differences among Zoetis products and competitors
Utilizing excellent presentation skills for educational training and exhibiting selling skills at accounts and producer seminars
Building relationships and influence within key trade channels (veterinarians, distributors, extension, and university personnel)
Managing a broad geographic area with diverse customer base to achieve sales targets, increased market share, and business objectives
Building trust with customers through reliability, credibility, and follow-up
Territory planning and priority setting through data analysis, planning, resource utilization, and execution of business plans
Demonstrating technical and commercial knowledge (dairy industry, Zoetis product portfolio, business and financial acumen of local customer base)
Teamwork: sharing, collaborating, and acting as a team player
Performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned and directed
