The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of related experience and must be able to work during the PST timezone. They should possess excitement for learning about streaming data and becoming an expert in Apache Kafka, along with experience in diagnosing, reproducing, and resolving customer issues. A desire to make customers successful through direct interaction is essential, and candidates should have experience troubleshooting applications on Linux, operational knowledge of Java applications, or experience with at least one mainstream distributed system like Kafka or Hadoop.
The Technical Support Engineer will work with customers to resolve issues with their Confluent deployments and contribute to process development to help the team grow efficiently. They will communicate with the core engineering team to provide real-time product feedback, improve product documentation, and author knowledge base articles. Additionally, they will create and review product demos and internal tooling, and work closely with the team behind Apache Kafka.
