Candidates must possess a BS degree in Computer Science or a similar field, or equivalent work experience, with at least 5 years of experience supporting enterprise customers or working hands-on with distributed systems. The role requires a passion for complex technical issues, expert-level troubleshooting, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, along with excellent client-facing, written, and verbal communication abilities. Experience with Linux, AWS, Azure, and Networking is essential, as is a Top Secret Security clearance. Experience with observability technologies like Splunk, Elasticsearch, or LogStash, and proficiency in Regex and JavaScript are considered bonus points.
The Technical Support Engineer will develop a deep technical understanding of Cribl Stream and other products, provide enterprise-level technical support via channels such as Slack, email, and online meetings, and research, diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve customer issues. Responsibilities include following standard procedures for issue escalation, providing prompt and accurate customer feedback, setting expectations, and ensuring proper issue recording and closure. The role also involves documenting knowledge through tech notes and articles, participating in real-time forums, and performing stand-by, on-call, or off-hours duties.
