Overview: We are seeking a new colleague to join our EMEA High-Performance Chromatography Solutions (HPCS) TSS team. The role’s purpose is to boost revenue growth of our HPCS BU instrument portfolio, aligning with the strategic objectives of the CMD European Commercial Organization. The TSS discovers potential opportunities within this market and customer segment with a view to improving allegiance and sales revenue for Thermo Fisher Scientific. The TSS uncovers the customer’s interest in our products and drives the Thermo Fisher Scientific value proposition from sample to knowledge. The role interfaces and works in close collaboration with key members of the sales team, Channel Managers, CMD Divisional marketing teams, Business Unit marketing, support and technical service groups within CMD. Embrace & lives 4I values. Shares the voice of customer towards the Business Unit. Also attends technical collaboration visits to Business Unit manufacturing and R&D sites; Supports new Product Introduction (NPI) prospects within territory to increase adoption rates and revenue return Supports and handles the sales funnel and forecast in collaboration with the Channel Managers and distributors partners. Consults with Channel Managers and internal partners on obtaining customer forecasts for new and existing business; works on strategies to achieve sales goals and metrics, including value proposition development Uses Thermo Fisher Scientific’s sales tools to efficiently handle the accounts, opportunities, pipelines and forecasting in an accurate and timely manner Maintains awareness of competitor and industry activity; Introduces new products and services as available.

Requirements

  • Education: M.Sc. degree in Science or Business based fields or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: +5 years proven experience selling chromatography & mass spectrometry instrumentation and handling complex, high-value accounts.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
    • Strong influencing and presentation skills.
    • Ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Strong market knowledge and business insight of industry sector, markets, applications and key trends.
    • Commercial mentality, motivated to win new business.
    • Willingness to travel to customer locations.
    • Proficient in English.
