Requirements

  • Associates degree, Bachelor’s degree, military education in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or High School Diploma/GED with 6+ years of experience servicing electrical equipment
  • 3+ years of experience servicing Medical Imaging equipment
  • Ability to commit to the safety and quality standards set by GEHC
  • Effective interpersonal skills and ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Self-motivated to learn new tasks quickly
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Availability to work flexible hours and for rotating on call schedule
  • A valid driver's license with no restrictions

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose equipment problems and recommend necessary repairs/services
  • Provide accurate and timely feedback to customers and GE personnel
  • Ensure excellent communication between the customer, sales, marketing and manufacturing departments
  • Ensure all field engineering activities are carried out in compliance with regulatory and quality systems
  • Establish effective working relationships with customers and GE personnel
  • Contribute to training sessions for new employees
  • Develop and maintain an adequate level of knowledge regarding GE products, software, test equipment, service tools, etc., so as to be able to effectively support the customer base
  • Undertake continuous improvement projects which lead to improved customer satisfaction and business profitability
  • Perform on time and accurate Preventative Maintenance in one or more modalities of equipment
  • Follow all Field Modification Instructions and/or Instrument Service Information bulletins
  • Work independently to trouble shoot and perform moderately complex repairs on assigned equipment
  • Independently perform and lead equipment installations in one or more modalities
  • Drive customer satisfaction through Service Excellence
  • Demonstrate ownership by being accountable for results and takes initiative to solve problems
