Richardson RFPD is seeking an experienced Technical Sales Representative for our Texas market (Austin main). As an integral part of the Arrow Company, Richardson RFPD provides design engineers with deep technical expertise and localized global design support for the latest new products from leading suppliers of RF, Wireless, IoT, and Power Technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Demand Creation & Relationship Management: Build and maintain influential relationships with customers, suppliers, and Richardson RFPD partners, creating demand for Richardson RFPD products.
  • Technical Solutions: Offer engineering and supply chain solutions tailored to customer needs.
  • Opportunity Development: Drive new opportunities and product selection within accounts.
  • Supplier & Customer Engineering Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and their representatives at multiple levels.
  • Account Management: Regularly visit customer facilities to sell Richardson RFPD’s franchised lines and services.
  • Solution Selling: Utilize distribution/rep/supplier knowledge to grow market share and sales.
  • Value-Added Solutions: Focus on selling long-term solutions with emphasis on demand creation and engineering.
  • Relationship Building: Stay current on product knowledge and attend supplier training events.
  • Expert Guidance: Guide others in resolving complex issues and serve as a resource for best practices.
  • Training & Mentoring: Train and mentor junior staff.

Requirements

  • Experience: Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience.
  • Education: Minimum of a 4-year degree. Alternatively, 8 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • Technical Understanding: Strong understanding of the territory and Richardson RFPD solutions.
  • Relationship Management: Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and partners.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
