Candidates must possess over 7 years of experience in advanced manufacturing, high-speed custom automation, automation engineering, process engineering, and technical program management, with a proven ability to translate NPI requirements into large-scale custom automation solutions. A strong background in prioritizing tasks for AMEs and suppliers from conceptual design through SAT and production team training is essential, along with experience managing high-budget projects and tracking spend with external vendors. Previous experience in value engineering, contract engagement, managing NRE, and the RFQ to PO issuance process is required. Strong technical skills in problem-solving and root-cause analysis in high-pressure environments are necessary, as is the ability to run automation programs with minimal supervision. Excellent interpersonal skills including leadership, project management, communication, collaboration, influencing, and negotiation are crucial. An in-depth understanding of process and assembly automation, including equipment validation through FAT/SAT (optical inspection, GRR, OEE, line balancing, and process flow optimization), is expected. The ability to summarize and articulate technical updates into executive-level presentations tailored to the audience is a key requirement. Constant partnership with cross-functional teams across Dandy, its equipment suppliers, and technical consultants is expected. Willingness and ability to travel internationally up to 30% is also required. A BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering or an allied technical subject is mandatory.
The Technical Program Manager will lead the technical, operational, and lifecycle management of various manufacturing automation initiatives. This includes innovating factory processes, concepts, and designs to enable ideal automated manufacturing. They will work closely with factory teams to create and achieve OKRs for automation and continuous improvement programs, and draft requirements documents, develop concepts, and envision the automated manufacturing process. Responsibilities also include creating RFQs/RFPs, engaging with vendors to construct machines according to Dandy's specifications, ensuring vendor conformity to Dandy's ARS specs, and approving vendor processes, process flow, and automation equipment design. The role involves designing and executing FAT, SAT, and commissioning of automation equipment/lines, leading the integration of new machines into factories, and supervising/reporting OEE, Yield, and manufacturing metrics. They will interpret machine output metrics to drive improvement programs, provide routine status reporting to executives, escalate issues as needed, and set bold targets and drive plans to achieve them.
Digital dental lab services and software
Dandy provides digital dentistry solutions to dental practices across the United States, enabling them to transition from traditional methods to modern digital techniques. Their services include digital scanning, design, and manufacturing of dental prosthetics such as dentures and implants. Dandy's proprietary Chairside software simplifies the scanning process, allowing dental professionals to perform complex procedures with greater accuracy and efficiency. Unlike competitors, Dandy offers their Chairside software for free, making it easier for practices to scan patients and submit lab cases. The company generates revenue through the manufacturing and sale of dental products based on these digital scans, along with providing clinical support and live scan feedback. Dandy's goal is to enhance patient experiences and improve operational efficiency for dental practices by facilitating the adoption of digital dentistry.
