Requirements

Educated to degree level or equivalent in a related discipline
10 years’ experience in a data management / analysis environment, ideally within International Procurement
Experience working as part of an international team, and daily engagement with global teams

Responsibilities

Own and optimize the Tactical Sourcing Factory concept - a centralized, process-driven approach to high-volume, repeatable sourcing activities
Standardize and streamline sourcing workflows to maximize efficiency and minimize cycle times
Implement factory metrics to measure throughput, quality, and cost-effectiveness of tactical sourcing activities
Collaborate with the Center of Excellence (COE) to drive continuous process improvements, targeting 5% annual efficiency gains
Leverage AI and advanced analytics to automate routine tasks, improve decision-making, and enhance sourcing outcomes
Implement and maintain digital tools to support tactical sourcing operations
Develop and report on tactical sourcing metrics, KPIs and service delivery
Provide regular performance dashboards to senior leadership
Comply with all standard operating procedures relevant to work activities, ensuring no tasks are performed without training
Serve as primary relationship manager for internal stakeholders including product teams, operations, and finance
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to resolve sourcing challenges
Communicate effectively with global teams across different time zones
Drive innovation and bring Owens & Minor first innovation to improve margin performance
Collaborate with Proprietary Product Sourcing leaders on competitive analysis and process improvements
Provide leadership and people management to the teammates; develop a high-performing team of global procurement
Establish, train, motivate, mentor, and evaluate the team’s performance through the performance management process
Set and manage the department’s monthly and annual operating budget
Perform all other work as assigned
Enable Annual P&L Impact and P&L Protection by working closely with other procurement leaders to meet or exceed annual goals
Deliver 5% or higher cost savings from eAuctions and 3% or higher on eSourcing events
Drive continuous improvement in ECM processes and tools (e.g., Spend Analysis, Value Tracker)
Reduce risk of tariff exposure due to reliance on sole source supply
