Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or a minimum of 2 years of college with at least 4 years of experience as an IT helpdesk technician, support specialist, or in end-user support. Experience with various computer systems, software, applications, hardware, networking, firewalls, switches, and access points is required. The role demands flexibility for after-hours and weekend work, including on-call rotations, and the ability to perform routine troubleshooting and preventive maintenance on desktop systems, applications, hardware, and networking. Exceptional customer service, strong documentation, critical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail skills are essential. Candidates must be self-motivated, fast learners, capable of meeting deadlines and goals, and able to prioritize tasks under pressure. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and in-depth knowledge of the Azure environment, including Admin centers (Sharepoint, Exchange, Teams, Entra, Intune), are necessary. Familiarity with Apple business management, MDM solutions like Mosyle or Addigy, and platforms such as GitHub, Azure DevOps, and third-party administrations is also required.
The Systems Engineer will respond to user queries, determine user requirements, gather support request information, analyze issues, and document all work performed. They will ensure support requests and problem tickets are completed within defined SLAs, and assist in equipment repair or replacement. Responsibilities include performing routine technological systems support, maintenance, and testing, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network failures, and coordinating with internal IT specialists. The role involves assisting with research and development, implementing new technologies, maintaining up-to-date documentation, and training users on hardware and software. Additionally, the Systems Engineer will track inventory levels, assist with procurement, review and recommend solutions for hardware and software issues, and maintain current knowledge of technology, equipment, and systems. They will also assist System Administrators and Engineers with projects and implementations, attend meetings as required, and perform miscellaneous job-related duties.
