Candidates should have experience communicating effectively with business executives and leaders regarding technical, account, and financial aspects of their business relationships. Experience with sales discovery processes, customer service escalation models, and running executive-level reviews in person is required. Public speaking experience is a plus. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, goal-driven, outgoing, inquisitive, customer-centric, and technically competent with a fundamental understanding of Confluent technology. Experience in tracking sales activities, customer data, and customer status, along with the ability to drive synergy and accountability across cross-functional teams, is necessary. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, B2B account management, sales, or consulting experience with proven results in high-growth technology companies, and a current or past security clearance are advantageous.
The Strategic Customer Success Manager will drive customer success, retention, and subscription expansion within the Public Sector organization by providing thought leadership and actionable recommendations. Responsibilities include meeting or exceeding quarterly retention targets, identifying and collaborating with the sales team on expansion opportunities, and guiding adoption practices to increase value realization. The role involves delivering onsite presentations like Onboarding Guides and Quarterly Business Reviews to executive audiences, supporting and maintaining relationships with key users and decision-makers, and proactively identifying and escalating issues. The manager will act as a trusted advisor, champion customer needs internally, and contribute to improving engagement and renewal best practices. Additionally, they will increase customer executive engagement and arrange for executive invites to company events.
