Requirements

Responsibilities

The Strategic Account Executive will build relationships with key decision-makers at the district level to sell Newsela's products. They will employ solution-based selling techniques, negotiation, and closing skills to secure school board preparation and approval. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining an aggressive pipeline, developing strategic account plans, and managing sales through the entire lifecycle. This role also involves pipeline creation, management, forecasting, designing lead generation campaigns, and collaborating with other departments. A deep understanding of the territory's funding, state initiatives, demographics, and the K-12 education landscape is necessary to inform sales strategy.
