Functional Architect – Marketing Operations

Position Overview

As a Functional Architect – Marketing Operations, you will play a pivotal leadership role in shaping and building the marketing business and technology ecosystem. This senior-level position blends deep expertise in marketing processes with product management ownership to define both business and system architecture capabilities.

About the Team

You’ll be part of the go-to-market & Finance - Digital Transformation Office team that supports global marketing initiatives through best-in-class technology solutions. Our team delivers global marketing systems that enable cohort profiling, customer journeys, campaign execution, omnichannel engagement, lead management, and return on investment measurement. We ensure these capabilities are built using inclusive, unbiased language and outcomes-focused criteria to support diverse customers and stakeholders. We work closely with business leaders, product managers, and engineering teams to ensure alignment with strategic goals and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Unifying, activating, and analyzing customer data and integrating with transaction tools.
  • Integrating data from multiple Data Warehouses like Snowflake, Databricks, transactional sources like SFDC, etc., to over 100+ destinations (Ads, ESPs, etc.).
  • Leveraging an advanced identity graph and probabilistic matching to resolve identities across customer datasets.
  • Supporting AI-based audience segmentation and real-time personalization, with streaming data ingestion for dynamic campaign responses.
  • Enabling real-time personalization through streaming ingestion.
  • Integrating multiple MAP platforms like SFMC, Pardot, etc., for Omni-Channel integrations.
  • Implementing Event-Based Triggering for send conversion events, purchases, or user actions to trigger journeys in SFMC or other tools.
  • Ensuring consistent messaging across email, SMS, push, and ads (via synced data to tools like Meta, Google Ads, etc.).
  • Aligning transaction systems and data warehouses with internal process controls.
  • Controlling and auditing data flow, with full visibility into sync logs.
  • Supporting consent-based marketing and suppression lists.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in marketing operations, Martech, or related go-to-market functions.
  • At least 7+ years in a functional architect or senior business systems role.
  • Expertise in tools like Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), Pardot, Marketo, HubSpot, or equivalent.
  • Experience with lead lifecycle management, campaign execution, marketing performance reporting, and customer data management.
  • Knowledge of go-to-market processes from lead to quote, with functional understanding of Salesforce CRM.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range or On Target Earnings:

  • Minimum: $146,700.00
  • Maximum: $339,300.00

Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. There may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations due to Zoom's location-based compensation structure.

Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration base salary, bonus, and equity value.
