New Business Case Manager Associate

Position Overview

Under the direction of the department Supervisor, the New Business Case Manager Associate is responsible for their performance in the following core areas: Foundational Processing and Service Quality.

Responsibilities

Foundational Processing and Service Quality

  • Review, evaluate, and process all levels of case work, including complex and escalated issues, according to department procedures independently with a strong focus on the customer experience.
  • Independently evaluate and analyze client requests, providing recommendations and solutions. Escalate for review when necessary.
  • Meet or exceed productivity and quality metrics per department guidelines.
  • Perform active problem resolution with minimal direction.
  • Ensure case outreach and follow-up activities are proactive, timely, and professional.
  • Identify technical issues and log them appropriately.
  • Provide suggestions for process improvements that enhance the customer experience.
  • Act as a team resource who independently and proactively identifies workflow needs; serve as an informal mentor to peers and team members.
  • Act as a strong business partner by establishing effective business relationships with underwriting, distribution, and marketing partners.
  • Participate as a subject matter expert in projects and initiatives as assigned.
  • Create and communicate proactively and effectively through written and verbal correspondence for producers, field offices, and external interested parties.
  • Set proper expectations with producers, offices, and Field Vice Presidents (FVPs).
  • Support department needs as assigned.

Department Collaboration

  • Maintain positive and professional interactions with peers, trainers, internal customers, and leaders across all activities.
  • Effectively collaborate to overcome challenges.
  • Act and be recognized as a resource within the team and across the department.
  • Keep leaders informed on activities, decisions, and the status of project work and other tasks.
  • Provide informal peer mentorship.

Self-Development

  • Understand the Workday Performance Management process.
  • Demonstrate a growth mindset and proactively partner with the Supervisor to identify key skill development opportunities.
  • Develop well-written SMART goals and self-assessments.
  • Take ownership of personal development, coming prepared to 1:1 meetings with progress status.
  • Follow through on action plans.
  • Meet target check-in and self-evaluation dates.
  • Utilize appropriate resources to identify long-term career path objectives.
    • If the path reflects the ability and desire to advance to an S4 role within the job family, seek out developmental assignments that focus on building and demonstrating skills essential to the non-processing functions of the role.
    • If alternative career paths are desired, work with leaders to seek out aligned developmental assignments.

Base Pay Range

The base pay range noted represents the company’s good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications, and geographic location. Most employees are also eligible for additional incentive pay.
