Description: Backcountry is seeking a motivated Senior Marketing Associate, Lifecycle & Loyalty to join their team. This role focuses on developing and executing strategies to increase customer lifetime value, repeat purchase rates, and loyalty. The position requires a blend of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, with a strong emphasis on data analysis and CRM optimization. This role will report into the Director, Retention.

Requirements

  • Experience: 4+ years of experience in CRM, retention, lifecycle, or email marketing – preferably in a fast-paced e-commerce or DTC environment.
  • Email Marketing Expertise: Hands-on experience executing email marketing campaigns using ESPs (Email Service Providers).
  • Analytical Skills: Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to interpret data, run tests, and make data-driven marketing decisions.
  • Collaboration: A collaborative attitude and ability to work effectively within a team.

Responsibilities

  • Lifecycle Strategy: Design and evolve Backcountry’s cross-channel lifecycle strategy, focusing on growing LTV, repeat purchase rate, frequency, and long-term customer satisfaction.
  • Campaign Execution: Own end-to-end lifecycle campaign execution, including segmentation, journey logic, dynamic content personalization, QA, deployment, and analysis.
  • Loyalty Program Management: Lead the implementation and optimization of the loyalty program, grounded in customer insights, commercial impact, and seamless integration across systems.
  • CRM Expertise: Serve as the go-to expert on the CRM platform, identifying opportunities for improvement and pushing its limits.
  • Platform Monitoring: Monitor platform and campaign health (bounces, complaints, deliverability issues, and data sync errors) and own incident response plans.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay ahead of trends in CRM tech, deliverability, and operational best practices.
