Candidates must possess over 7 years of experience in technical product management, product ownership, or related engineering disciplines focused on building technical products and services. They should have 7+ years of experience managing technical product teams using Agile frameworks and 7+ years of experience in technical roles for large-scale modernization programs. A minimum of 5 years of technical experience in software development, including understanding coding, software architecture, and development processes, is required, along with 5+ years of experience in product strategy, road mapping, backlog management, and authoring epics and features. Additionally, 3 years of experience working within the healthcare payor industry is necessary. Preferred qualifications include the ability to drive cross-functional teams to alignment amidst ambiguity, experience with data visualization, and experience with plan administration and implementation areas encompassing payor back-office operations.
The Senior Product Owner will collaborate with Product Managers to define product strategy and maintain an aligned roadmap, while also engaging with executives and teams to balance priorities and negotiate solutions. They will partner with designers, developers, and business leaders to drive successful product delivery, champion user needs, and refine products based on data-driven insights. Responsibilities include prioritizing development efforts, writing clear user stories, tracking performance metrics, and ensuring security standards and regulatory adherence. The role involves leading cross-functional collaboration for large-scale product initiatives, managing dependencies, and driving efficient execution. Collaboration with third-party vendors to ensure seamless integration and value-driven partnerships is expected, as is evaluating product performance in terms of revenue, cost, and operational efficiency. The Senior Product Owner will also lead adoption strategies, provide user support, and mentor peers in execution best practices to optimize workflows for scalability and impact.
