Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in data analysis, sales capability development or a related function within the pharmaceutical industry or in Consulting firms
  • Minimum 3 years of direct experience in Sales Force Effectiveness or a similar role, with hands-on experience with sales strategy execution, including physician targeting, sales force design and quota setting
  • Proficiency in Excel and proven ability to deliver performance management reports, sales forecasts, and analytical insights that drive brand performance
  • Demonstrates strong purpose and alignment with Lilly behaviors and corporate values
  • Adept at navigating complex, cross-functional environments and driving impactful outcomes
  • Great sense of responsibility and exceptional communication and influencing skills; capable of dealing with high pressure and partnering effectively with diverse internal stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the SFE Leader to shape a high-performing, competitive sales force that delivers strong results and value-added services, acting as a key liaison for SFE-related inquiries between BU and CMO. Focus areas include physician targeting, territory alignment, quota setting, and incentive plan communication
  • Optimize the use of financial and human resources to enhance sales force performance. Continuously assess sales force structure and recommend improvements to BU leadership to drive efficiency and ROI
  • Foster strong, cross-functional relationships with BU Head, Sales Team, HR, Finance, and other key stakeholders to support SFE initiatives and enable KPI tracking and ensure expansion implementation
  • Manage the quarterly and annual sales planning cycle (e.g., territory alignment) in partnership with the BU, ensuring timely and high-quality execution
  • Provide regular sales performance analysis and insights; monitor both business and operational performance
  • Deliver actionable insights and recommendations to BU leadership regarding execution progress, gaps, and opportunities
  • Provide independent support to multiple regions on sales force effectiveness topics, such as territory optimization and target setting
