Candidates should possess experience with distributed computing tools such as Apache Hudi, Trino, Map Reduce, and other big data technologies, along with experience with distributed storage systems like HDFS, S3, and familiarity with Hadoop, Spark, or other distributed computing systems. Strong knowledge of data partitioning and sharding techniques, distributed computing principles, and experience writing clean code that performs well at scale using languages like Java/Kotlin/C#/Go is required, alongside scripting languages such as Python, knowledge of relational databases (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL), and experience writing RESTful API endpoints. Solid experience in Data Engineering with expertise in big data, advanced AI integration, and SaaS apps, along with proficiency in GIT and experience using system and performance monitoring tools (e.g., New Relic, DataDog) are also necessary. Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field and demonstrate a love for Test-Driven Development with working knowledge of it.
As a Sr. Engineer - Data Platform & AI, the individual will identify, prioritize, and execute tasks throughout the software development life cycle, working with business to iterate over software requirements and develop tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code. They will automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting, analyze and debug systems, perform validation and verification testing in a test-driven manner, review the work of others, and collaborate with internal teams and vendors to fix and improve products. The role also involves ensuring software is up-to-date with the latest technologies, working with distributed computing systems like Apache Hudi and Trino for big data processing, and contributing to a culture of innovation by integrating AI tools into daily workflows to enhance collaboration and improve outcomes.
