Requirements

Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, or Computer Science and at least 5 years of experience in a data analytics or data engineering role, preferably in a SaaS business. High proficiency in SQL is mandatory, along with existing experience with Databricks. Python experience (especially with data processing libraries like Pandas/Polars) and/or data streaming technologies (Kafka, Spark Streaming), experience with data modeling frameworks (especially dbt Cloud), experience in documentation and version control via Github, Atlan, and/or Confluence, proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets, and expertise in data visualization tools (preferably Looker with LookML) are highly desirable. A strategic mindset, proactive problem-solving approach, sense of ownership, and a commitment to quality are also essential.

Responsibilities

The Senior Data Engineer will leverage strong knowledge of data engineering principles and technologies to build and maintain robust data solutions, including designing, building, and maintaining scalable and reliable data pipelines and data models within data warehouse solutions using tools like Databricks and Snowflake. Responsibilities include creating robust, self-healing data pipelines through automation, collaborating with data analysts, product managers, and other stakeholders in an Agile environment, enforcing best practices and coding standards, ensuring the delivery of high-quality code and data, and staying abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in data engineering.
