Requirements

Candidates should have over 7 years of experience in QA Automation, with at least 3 years dedicated to leading the development of automation frameworks from the ground up. Expertise is required in automation tools and libraries such as Playwright, Cypress, REST-assured, Postman, and PyTest. Proficiency in modern programming languages like TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, or Java is essential, along with demonstrated experience in architecting automated solutions for UI, API, data validation, and mobile testing. Deep knowledge of CI/CD integration using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins, a strong grasp of QA strategy, test design techniques, and coverage models, and experience integrating with test management platforms like TestRail are also necessary. Excellent communication skills with a passion for mentorship and knowledge sharing are required. Familiarity with mobile automation frameworks like Appium or Detox and domain knowledge of healthcare data or experience with enterprise SaaS products are considered bonus points.

Responsibilities

The QA Automation Lead will architect and implement a modular, scalable automation framework supporting UI, API, mobile, and data testing. This role involves evaluating and selecting appropriate tools, languages, and libraries, and defining coding standards, folder structures, reusable components, and best practices for test development. Responsibilities include integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous execution and reporting, collaborating with cross-functional teams to embed automation into the SDLC, and tracking and reporting automation metrics and coverage through dashboards. The Lead will also integrate automation execution and results into TestRail, mentor manual testers and junior engineers transitioning into automation roles, and create and own automation strategy documentation, coding guidelines, and onboarding guides.
