Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree, and at least 5 years of experience in medical device sales, with a strong focus on surgical sales and account management. They should demonstrate a thorough understanding of the surgical market, including the operation theatre and operation room environment. Furthermore, candidates are expected to be knowledgeable about ophthalmic surgery related devices and possess the ability to identify and develop new business opportunities.

Responsibilities

As a Surgical Medical Representative, the primary responsibility is to promote and sell Alcon’s ophthalmic surgery related devices across multiple clinical sales channels, including clinics and hospitals, serving as a partner in surgery for surgeons and nurses. This includes expanding market share through marketing initiatives, achieving sales objectives, visiting customers and providing support, discovering new business opportunities, executing sales plans, informing customers about product updates, maintaining customer databases, and assisting healthcare professionals. Additionally, the role requires ensuring compliance with Alcon’s Code of Conduct and other integrity and compliance guidelines, reporting potential misconduct, and adhering to Good Pharmacovigilance Practice.
