Zapier is seeking a Solutions Architect to join its Sales team. This role involves partnering with the team to develop go-to-market strategies and close key customer accounts. Zapier is a leader in the automation space with proven product-market fit and strong sales traction. This position offers the opportunity to expand Zapier's impact by building on its success. The role combines technical consulting, solution development, and direct sales collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Educate Customers: Act as a trusted advisor for customers' automation and integration efforts. Become an expert on automation workflows and consult with product and engineering leaders on how Zapier can help achieve business goals. Leverage technical acumen and consultative selling to be a critical resource for decision-makers.
  • Drive Technical Closures: Navigate complex, multi-party sales and design joint integration architectures with customer Engineering teams. Help buyers understand how Zapier can streamline operations and integrate seamlessly into their existing technical stacks.
  • Collaborate Internally: Partner with Growth, Engineering, and Product teams. Serve as the primary conduit between go-to-market and Engineering, gathering and prioritizing feedback from prospective customers. Influence the product roadmap and collaborate with the Growth team to ensure smooth deployments and customer success.
  • Consultative Selling: Take a consultative approach to deeply understand customers' technical needs and pain points, presenting tailored solutions using Zapier’s Enterprise Automation platform.
  • Drive Revenue: Position Zapier as an integral part of customers’ business strategy through value-driven proof-of-concepts, customized demos, and solution discussions.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with Engineering, Product, and Customer Success teams to develop integration architectures and long-term adoption strategies.
  • Influence Product Roadmap: Advocate for customers and influence the product roadmap, ensuring Zapier’s platform evolves to meet enterprise customer needs.

Requirements

  • Experience:
    • 2+ years (L2) or 5+ years (L3) in pre-sales, post-sales, implementation, or professional services at technical B2B SaaS companies.
  • Technical Acumen:
    • Deep familiarity with API integrations (building, extensive use, consulting, guiding technical best practices).
    • Proficiency with Zapier’s platform and ability to communicate its value with authority.
    • Ability to learn and communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, explaining Zapier's integration into their ecosystems.
  • Consultative Approach:
    • Excellence in understanding customer needs and providing innovative solutions.
    • Skill in positioning Zapier effectively.
