About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Professional Services Solutions Architect (SA) to join our Professional Services organization. The SA will be responsible for implementing and tailoring Altium's Enterprise solutions for enterprise-level customers, working with both cloud and on-premise infrastructures. This role involves close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, providing knowledge of Altium Enterprise solutions to help customers achieve their business goals. The SA acts as a bridge between Sales, Professional Consulting, Software Engineering, Implementation, Customer Success, and R&D.

A Day in the Life of Our Professional Services Solutions Architect

  • Solutions Architecture: Implementing Altium Enterprise solutions by analyzing customer frameworks, environments, challenges, and bottlenecks in their electronics hardware development process.
  • Relationship Building: Developing strong, long-term customer relationships through empathy, active listening, and resilience.
  • Product Expertise: Demonstrating a deep understanding of Altium's products and their application in customer contexts, staying updated on releases, features, and roadmaps.
  • Technical Guidance: Collaborating with customers to identify, prioritize, and quantify key business drivers, providing technical expertise on process optimization using Altium's solutions.
  • Statement of Work (SOW) Creation: Developing and presenting SOWs that quantify key tasks and deliverables for proposed solutions.
  • Software Engineering: Working with software engineers to develop customized solutions based on customer requirements.
  • R&D: Collaborating with R&D to resolve technical gaps that significantly impact customers and Altium's business.

Who We're Looking For

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or an equivalent degree and experience.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years in Enterprise Solutions Architecture, Customer Success, Professional Services, or a similar customer-facing strategic role. Experience with Altium's products is highly desirable.
  • Customer Growth: Proven ability to manage and grow multiple enterprise-level customers, understanding and navigating complex customer environments (integrations, workflows, business processes).
  • Subject Matter Expert: Domain expertise and work experience in PCB design, or subject matter expertise in functional areas such as ECAD design process, testing, or PLM.
  • Technical Skills: Strong hands-on experience with ECAD software, PLM integrations, and workflow management is essential.
  • Project Management: Ability to track and coordinate multiple efforts to deliver customer priorities on time and meet expectations.
  • Creative Thinker: Proposes solutions using technical knowledge and experience, building alignment and setting clear expectations with customers.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical skills.
