Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering, with experience working with government partners preferred. They should be comfortable working with cloud platforms such as AWS and possess experience in designing, developing, testing, automating, and deploying data engineering solutions. Experience with professional software engineering practices, including Agile Software Development, is required.
The Data Engineer will work with cross-functional project teams to gather business requirements and translate them into technical specifications, collaborate with government partners to develop data engineering applications and pipelines, design and implement data models and databases, improve data pipelines, enhance data security, write code to process data efficiently, participate in software design and code reviews, develop automated testing and monitoring, and deploy and operate mission-critical systems. They will also support software developers, database architects, data analysts, and data scientists, and contribute to data and architecture review meetings while ensuring data delivery is optimal and consistent.
