Appspace is seeking an SMB Account Executive passionate about creating better work experiences. This role involves driving sales strategy, planning, and execution to acquire targeted accounts and achieve revenue growth through collaboration with partners and clients. The ideal candidate will be customer-focused with strong presentation skills, technical knowledge, and a drive to succeed.

A Day in the Life of an SMB Account Executive

  • Lead Appspace sales efforts within an assigned territory.
  • Identify and target accounts for acquisition as new Appspace customers.
  • Act as the primary Appspace expert in a collaborative sales approach with strategic technology and channel partners.
  • Develop and implement innovative business plans with strategic partners and the channel community to meet and exceed customer needs.
  • Present and demonstrate the Appspace story and platform in early sales stages, coordinating additional resources as necessary.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Marketing, and IT, to drive Appspace sales.
  • Build and convert sales pipeline from various sources, establishing reference customers along the way.
  • Accurately forecast pipeline development and report on opportunities within the assigned territory to achieve sales targets.
  • Negotiate with colleagues, partners, and customers using a win/win philosophy.
  • Represent Appspace at partner meetings, trade shows, events, and conferences.

Requirements

  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years in a sales and/or business development role within the Information Technology sector (Hardware, Software, Networking, etc.).
    • SaaS selling experience is strongly preferred.
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s Degree; Business and/or Computer Science/IT degrees are preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Entrepreneurial mindset; aggressive, energetic, and self-motivated.
    • Proven track record in developing and maintaining strong relationships with prospects, partners, and customers.
    • Confidence in presenting to senior-level stakeholders.
    • Proficiency in a team selling approach.
    • Experience with sales strategies including discovery, deal qualification, negotiation, and closing.
    • Prior experience and proficient user of Salesforce.

  • Provide accurate pipeline development forecasts and opportunity reporting.
  • Negotiate favorable terms with customers and partners.
  • Represent Appspace professionally at various industry events.
