Candidates should possess prior dealership service department experience strongly preferred, with at least 3 years of supervisory experience and proven customer service and service department success. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and work with a sense of urgency, demonstrating excellent computer and written/verbal communication skills, and a strong commitment to safety and training.
The Service Manager will oversee repair work and operations of the entire service department, including employee management such as coaching, scheduling, and dispatching. They will also manage and track technician training requirements, ensure sufficient resources are available, coordinate repair work, build/maintain relationships with customers by communicating updates and answering questions, diagnose repair work and handle customer complaints, and assist with warranty and service quotes along with various administrative duties. Additionally, the Service Manager will work closely with other department heads and support customers while hitting company goals.
