Proficiency in SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Search Console)
Familiarity with generative AI platforms (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, etc.)
Familiarity with “cannibalization” and how to resolve internally competing SEO pages
Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills
Ability to work with CMS publishing platforms
Ability to translate complex information into accessible, engaging content

Responsibilities
Research, write, and edit content optimized for both traditional SEO and GEO, including blogs, web copy, product pages, FAQs, and thought leadership
Partner with agency to optimize SEO and GEO content and hand-off content to web development team
Conduct keyword research and AI-query research to identify high-value keyword and prompt opportunities across search and generative engines
Develop strategies to increase brand visibility in AI-driven answer engines (e.g., structuring content to be cited by AI)
Collaborate with agency, product marketing, and subject matter experts to align content with company objectives and to ensure product descriptions are accurate
Stay current with emerging trends in search, GEO, AI-powered search assistants, and digital marketing
Analyze performance metrics (rankings, traffic, AI citations) and refine content strategies accordingly
Ensure all content is on-brand, accurate, and aligned with style and voice guidelines
