Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of proven life science capital sales experience, with knowledge of clinical and research applied genetics and genomics. Demonstrable experience working with key clinical and research accounts in Iowa and Illinois (excluding Chicago) is required. Success in consultative selling, lead generation, business development, and working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment is essential. Understanding of next-generation sequencing (NGS) and genotyping is foundational.
The Senior Territory Account Manager is responsible for achieving territory sales objectives and growth targets by developing and implementing sales plans. This includes accurate sales forecasting, pipeline management, and proactive CRM utilization. Responsibilities also involve delivering technical seminars, consulting with customers on Illumina products, and staying informed about market trends. The role requires effective cross-functional collaboration, managing complex sales processes, prospecting new business, expanding existing accounts, and maintaining strong customer relationships.
