Candidates should have at least 3-6 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred. Proficiency in Linux operating systems, particularly Ubuntu, is required. Knowledge of ITIL, ITSM, ITAM, Project Management, networking (Unifi/Cisco), VPN/Zero Trust, Office 365 suite (Azure AD, Intune, Autopilot, SharePoint, Windows 11), Active Directory Management and GPOs, virtualization (Azure/AWS/VMware/Proxmox/Virtual Box), Atlassian suite, and automation/PowerShell/scripting is essential. The ability to work independently and as part of a team, along with strong organizational and multitasking skills, is also necessary. Certifications such as A+, Network+, MCSE, or CCNA are considered a plus.
The Senior System Administrator will manage and maintain Windows and Linux systems, ensuring their performance, security, and availability. This includes monitoring system health, troubleshooting technical issues, researching and implementing new technologies, and managing network environments with VLANs, ACLs, Layer 2/3, IPSec, NAT, and DDNS. The role also involves implementing and managing backup and disaster recovery solutions, creating and updating documentation for troubleshooting and resolutions, and effectively managing and prioritizing multiple support tickets and projects.
