Position Overview

CrowdStrike is a global leader in cybersecurity, protecting the people, processes, and technologies that drive modern organizations. Our mission is to stop breaches, and we have redefined modern security with the world's most advanced AI-native platform. We operate large-scale distributed systems, processing nearly 3 trillion events per day, with traffic that is growing daily. Our customers span all industries, and they rely on CrowdStrike to keep their businesses running, their communities safe, and their lives moving forward. We are a mission-driven company that cultivates a culture of flexibility and autonomy, empowering every CrowdStriker to own their careers. We are always looking for talented individuals with limitless passion, a relentless focus on innovation, and a fanatical commitment to our customers, community, and each other. The future of cybersecurity starts with you.

About the Role

CrowdStrike Falcon Host is a two-component security product. The "sensor" is a driver installed on client machines that observes system activity, recognizes malicious behavior, provides on-box prevention, and sends remote telemetry to the Falcon Host cloud. The cloud component aggregates sensor telemetry for each customer's network, correlates malicious behavior across multiple machines, and presents prioritized threat summaries to customer operations teams.

Join CrowdStrike as a key leader in building the most innovative endpoint security solution in the world. Our sensor development team is responsible for building the endpoint sensor that deploys on multiple platforms, including Windows, Mac, and Linux. As an Engineering Manager, you will own major components and development projects, and be responsible for training and growing your team. You will assist with architecting solutions and implementing our core features, which span across core OS subsystems such as file system, memory, process, and networking. Many features will have shared components across multiple platforms. You need to lead projects efficiently, maximizing performance and minimizing costs, while ensuring high standards in design, coding quality, and unit/component testing.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide partnership on the sensor development team, involved in architecture, strategy, building, and improving next-generation Anti-Virus and Enhanced Detection and Response Security Software.
  • Develop new product concepts.
  • Support development teams in designing and building software with cross-platform deliverables (primarily on Linux, but also MacOS and Windows).
  • Own features from design to delivery, including participation in product demos at the end of the sprint.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams in various locations.

What You’ll Need

  • In-depth knowledge of C/C++ and Linux internals/kernel.
  • Strong low-level OS internals experience in Linux.
  • Experience debugging memory corruptions, process contentions, and system performance.
  • Experience working with teams to ship major features and releases.
  • Experience as an Engineering Manager with direct reports.
  • Ability to lead, mentor, communicate, collaborate, and work effectively in a distributed team.

Bonus Points

  • Strong background in scalable, lightweight, and highly performing systems.
  • OS system expertise for core concepts and subsystems.
  • Familiarity and experience with Agile processes.
  • Knowledge in Security.
