Requirements

Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a Network Administrator or in a similar role. Required qualifications include hands-on experience with Fortinet firewalls and Ubiquiti networking equipment, a strong understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, and routing protocols, and experience managing network security policies, firewall rules, and intrusion prevention/detection systems. Familiarity with monitoring and management tools for performance and security, along with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team, are also essential. Experience with Fortinet and/or Ubiquiti networking equipment is ideal but not required. Candidates should reside in Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, Tennessee, or Georgia to support potential periodic office visits.

Responsibilities

The Network Administrator will be responsible for configuring, monitoring, and maintaining network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points. Key duties include managing and troubleshooting LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless connectivity across multiple sites, monitoring network performance, and proactively identifying, diagnosing, and resolving issues. The role also involves implementing and enforcing network security best practices, supporting server and storage environments related to network connectivity, collaborating with internal teams and vendors, maintaining network documentation, and providing tier-1/2 support for escalated network-related incidents and service requests.
