Position Overview

The MarketPoint Strategy Advancement team is seeking a Senior Strategy Advancement Professional to focus on process optimization initiatives within transformation efforts. This role involves discovery, analysis, and identifying opportunities to optimize business operations for improved productivity and efficiency. You will have considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches, requiring innovative thinking, new perspectives, and process re-engineering to support strategic development and planning that drives transformation and change across people, process, and technology.

MarketPoint is Humana's distribution organization, responsible for all individual sales. With over 4,000 associates, MarketPoint manages millions of interactions annually. The Strategy Advancement team plays a crucial role in driving transformation and change by carrying strategies forward.

Responsibilities

  • Drive transformation and change through innovative thinking and process re-engineering in collaboration with strategic development and planning efforts.
  • Analyze, optimize, and consult on end-to-end Sales initiatives across all distribution channels (call center, direct, and digital).
  • Identify optimization opportunities within business operations through discovery and analysis to improve productivity and efficiency or implement new strategies.
  • Identify, design, quantify, and monitor test/learn opportunities, applying measurable outcomes to improve operations (e.g., time studies, Average Handle Time (AHT), sales performance, quality).
  • Deconstruct and analyze operational challenges and bottlenecks through live feedback sessions to inform and develop new ways of working.
  • Partner cross-functionally to define requirements and gain business consensus to drive decision-making for improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain updates to process materials to support and track future changes.
  • Collaborate with various business partners, including distribution channel leads, product, technology, experience, and operations teams.
  • Summarize and simplify complex data sets or process details for effective storytelling in presentations.
  • Influence peers and stakeholders to drive results and new ways of thinking.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in process mapping, workflow documentation, or process re-engineering.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience with business process management on large-scale initiatives involving people, process, policy, and technology.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Experience with experimental design.
  • Familiarity with distribution strategies.
  • Excellent time management, project/change management, program execution, and organization skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Consulting background is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma and/or advanced business process analysis practices.
  • Experience with Salesforce and/or other CRM technology.
  • Experience in a Sales environment within Contact Center, Omnichannel, or Digital channels is helpful.
  • Advanced experience utilizing process flow diagram tools (e.g., Visio).

Travel

Occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.
