Senior (5 to 8 years)
Candidates should have 7-8 years of industry experience with at least 5 years in a pre-sales environment. They must possess outstanding presentation skills for both technical and executive audiences, broad experience with large-scale Database and/or Data Warehouse technology, ETL, analytics, and cloud technologies (e.g., Data Lake, Data Mesh, Data Fabric). Hands-on expertise with SQL, SQL analytics, and Python is required, along with the ability to connect customer business problems to Snowflake solutions and perform deep discovery of customer architectures. A university degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience, is preferred, with a Master's in Data Science or Business Administration being a plus. Experience with GSIs is beneficial but not required.
The Senior Solution Engineer will work directly with the sales team and channel partners to understand customer needs, strategize on winning sales cycles, deliver compelling value-based demonstrations, and support enterprise Proof of Concepts. They will present Snowflake technology and vision to executives and technical contributors, work hands-on with prospects and customers to demonstrate the value of Snowflake throughout the sales cycle, and immerse themselves in the industry to maintain a deep understanding of competitive and complementary technologies. Additionally, they will collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to improve Snowflake's products and marketing.
