Requirements

The ideal candidate will have experience in segment marketing, particularly within the start-up ecosystem, and possess a strategic mindset. They should be adept at defining and scaling go-to-market motions, including messaging, campaign strategy, and lifecycle management. Strong cross-functional collaboration skills are essential, with the ability to work effectively across Product, Sales, Partnerships, Growth, and Customer Success teams. Experience in segmenting Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs) by growth stage, funding, region, and hiring complexity is required. Familiarity with co-marketing and channel growth strategies with VC, accelerator, and platform partners is also necessary. The role requires the ability to represent the company in start-up communities and industry events, both virtually and in-person.

Responsibilities

The Senior Segment Marketing Manager will be responsible for defining and scaling Deel's presence within the start-up and early-stage company segment. This includes developing a segment-specific go-to-market motion from the ground up, owning messaging, campaign strategy, and lifecycle management. Key responsibilities include segmenting the ICP, building tailored use cases, and representing the voice of the start-up buyer across go-to-market, content, and product feedback loops. The manager will also own and lead start-up-focused go-to-market campaigns per quarter, collaborate with the Partnerships team to drive co-marketing and channel growth, and source compelling customer stories. Additionally, they will represent Deel in start-up communities and industry events, partner with the Events team to shape audience strategy and content, and collaborate with spokespeople to amplify Deel's perspective on global hiring and growth.
