About the Team

As part of the Marketing & Strategy insights team, segment marketing managers own the go-to-market strategy for one of our defined audiences. In this role, you’ll focus on collecting and translating market, competitor, and customer insights into thoughtfully designed & orchestrated marketing campaigns that activate & engage both prospects and existing customers.

Your Mission

You will lead go-to-market and lifecycle strategies for the R&D segment - targeting users in product management, engineering, UX, and design. You’ll own the full buyer and customer journey for this audience, bringing a data- and insight-driven approach to growing engagement, adoption, and value realization. This is a highly cross-functional role, partnering closely with Product, Sales, Lifecycle, and Design to create targeted campaigns and programs that resonate with R&D teams and the way they work.

What You'll Do

  • Own marketing strategy for R&D use cases (e.g., agile planning, sprint retros, design workshops).
  • Develop personas, messaging, and journey maps for product managers, engineers, UX, and design leaders.
  • Partner with Product, Lifecycle, and Sales to build cohesive campaigns that connect product launches, adoption programs, and customer success motions.
  • Lead demand generation, thought leadership, and retention initiatives that engage R&D audiences across the customer lifecycle.
  • Track and analyze product usage, engagement, and lifecycle health for the R&D cohort to identify opportunities for deeper value realization.
  • Serve as the voice of the R&D segment, surfacing customer insights, feedback, and trends to influence go-to-market strategy and product roadmaps.

What You'll Bring

  • SaaS experience is required (familiarity with SaaS metrics, digital channels, and product-led growth models).
  • 7+ years in B2B marketing, with proven experience building integrated campaigns for technical audiences.
  • Experience marketing to R&D, product, engineering, or design teams; ability to understand their workflows, tools, and priorities.
  • Strong research skills—comfortable conducting both quantitative and qualitative analysis to inform strategy.
  • Exceptional project and stakeholder management skills, able to lead cross-functional initiatives end-to-end.
  • Excellent communicator and storyteller, able to translate complex ideas into clear, compelling narratives.
  • Comfortable experimenting with new approaches, including the use of AI tools to improve efficiency and insight generation.
