The Product Management team at DICK’S Sporting Goods is focused on delivering retail excellence across the entire customer journey. Our mission is to craft intuitive, user-friendly products that enhance our business operations. We are seeking a motivated individual to contribute product-market viability ideas, inspire innovation, and deliver elevated experiences for our customers and products.

The Supply Chain Product organization is dedicated to optimizing and innovating our supply chain operations. We are currently looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our team and drive impactful initiatives within our Distribution Center (DC) Fulfillment space through technology solutions.

Responsibilities

In this critical role, you will be responsible for:

  • Product Vision & Strategy:
    • Defining and establishing a comprehensive vision, strategy, and roadmap for your product within a modern development environment.
    • Blending innovation, strategy, and execution to deliver top-notch customer experiences.
  • Product Outcomes:
    • Acting as the "voice of the product," demonstrating empathy for customers and stakeholders.
    • Setting goals based on desired outcomes and measuring progress towards them, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
    • Utilizing data to inform future product iterations and prioritization within your roadmap.
  • Stakeholder Enablement:
    • Bringing cohesion and coordination to domain-level initiatives by blending strategy and tactics to achieve business results.
    • Interacting with all functional areas of the company, including product design, software engineering, leadership, and portfolio stakeholder groups.
  • Product-Market Fit & Go-to-Market Strategies:
    • Developing compelling arguments for product success in the market.
    • Creating launch strategies that include ramp-up, marketing, and adoption plans.
  • Delivery:
    • Managing the product backlog effectively.
    • Creating clear user stories and leading backlog prioritization and management.
    • Performing testing of product features with engineers to ensure acceptance criteria are met.
    • Capturing bugs and working towards defect resolution.

Key Considerations for the Role

  • Experience with Supply Chain Technology Products – Manhattan Preferred.
  • In-depth operational knowledge of retail distribution operations.
  • Strong facilitation, leadership, and coordination skills across technology, capability, and operations teams.
  • Strong data acumen.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to demonstrate creative thinking to overcome challenges.
