Candidates must possess a J.D. degree and be a member of a state bar in good standing, with over 5 years of legal experience, including at least two years in-house. Experience counseling clients on advertising, marketing law, adtech, data privacy, and consumer protection is essential. A strong interest in technology and the ability to translate complex legal requirements into practical business advice are also required. Familiarity with advertising self-regulatory frameworks, experience with ad tech partners and consent management, and background in ad measurement are preferred.
The Senior Product Counsel will provide legal advice on advertising, monetization, user-generated content, and subscription services from conception through launch and beyond. They will counsel teams on compliance with U.S., EU/UK, and global advertising, privacy, and consumer protection laws. Responsibilities include monitoring regulatory frameworks, advising on product development and advertising strategies, drafting terms of use and privacy policies, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to develop risk management frameworks and creative solutions.
